From Leon Racing
MONTREAL, QC -- The Royal Distributing / MBP road race team has announced a new partnership with Double Dog Moto. Engineers based in San Francisco, Double Dog Moto specializes in manufacturing unique motorcycle exhaust systems and structural carbon fiber tails. Its exhausts and composite monocoque tails are homologated in the national AMA series in the US and are rapidly spreading to racers and street riders around the world.
The team will be using a new Double Dog Moto titanium exhaust system and 135DD muffler on the Ducati 1198S race bike that rider Michael Leon will compete with in the RACE SuperSeries at Shannonville Motorsport Park. The system is unique in that it relocates the exhaust canister beside the swingarm, closer to the motorcycle's centre of gravity. The system provides substantial weight savings from the rear of the motorcycle while adding midrange torque. This will certainly be a powerful combination to help reduce lap times.
