DiSalvo at Toronto Spring show

From SUPERSHOW Events

After his triumph at the 2011 Daytona 200, held March 12 at Daytona International Raceway, Ducati racer Jason DiSalvo will visit the Toronto International Spring Motorcycle show to participate in autograph sessions in the GP Bikes booth in Hall 1.

GP Bikes is the Ducati dealer for Durham region and one of the larger exhibitors at the Spring Show with its display right at the front entrance of the Show. That’s where race fans will get to meet DiSalvo and get an autographed poster.

In one of the wildest finishes ever in the 70-year history of the famed 200-mile race, Batavia, NY rider DiSalvo made a dramatic last lap pass on the race leader to earn his and Ducati’s first win in the Daytona 200. Early on in the race, the engine in his Ducati failed and DiSalvo thought he was out of the race but a red-flag race stoppage at about the same time gave his team enough time to swap engines, continue the race and, incredibly, to snag the win.

DiSalvo will be at the Spring Motorcycle Show on both days and will participate as a guest speaker in the Canadian Road Racers Safety Summit being held on Saturday at the Show.

The Toronto Spring Motorcycle Show runs Saturday, April 9 from 10am to 9pm, and Sunday, April 10 from 10am to 5pm. The International Centre is located at 6900 Airport Road. Admission is $16 for adults; $5 for youths under 12, free for children under 6, and parking is free. Visit www.supershowevents.com for more information.
