Destination Daytona aims for wedding record

From Bruce Rossmeyer's Daytona Harley-Davidson

DAYTONA BEACH, FL – Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson, the world’s largest Harley-Davidson dealership, aims to set a record for the most biker weddings and vow renewals on a motorcycle in a single day. The ‘race’ to the altar will occur during Bike Week 2011 on Friday, March 11 at Destination Daytona in Ormond Beach, FL beginning at 11am.

Destination Daytona is giving Bike Week-goers a chance to be a part of motorcycle history. Couples who share a love for one-another as strong as their love for Harleys can register to get hitched or renew their vows during the famed Bike Week 2011. The Bride and Groom can walk to the altar down an alley of Harleys or can arrive altar-side on their own bike. Ceremonies will be officiated by a pastor. Interested couples can register online at www.BruceRossmeyer.com. The cost is $50 (US) per couple; all participating couples must obtain a legal marriage license at their own accord for weddings; vow renewals do not require any additional paperwork.

Thus far, over 75 couples have registered to partake in the Bike Week nuptials – setting Destination Daytona well on its way to setting a record for the most weddings and vow renewals on motorcycles in a single day.

A biker’s paradise by nature, Destination Daytona hosts Bike Week 2011, which marks the 70th prestigious year for this annual motorcycle festival known far and wide as the World’s Largest Motorcycle Event for its estimated 500,000 visitors who attend each year.
