Deltran back with Ferracci

DELAND, FL -- And the beat goes on. Deltran Battery Tenders, the highly-popular line of technologically-advanced battery chargers, has again signed on as a sponsor of Eraldo Ferracci’s racing efforts. The 2011 agreement means that Deltran has sponsored the famed world-champion tuner every year that he’s fielded a race team since 1993.

“At this point, I think we’re more like a family than a business relationship,” said Mike Prelec, Sr., Deltran’s president. “So when Eraldo called and said ‘We’re going racing — again’, and was coming back with the Celtic Racing team this year beginning at Daytona, it was a foregone conclusion that our Battery Tender logo was going to be on his fairings — again. Seventeen years is a tough habit to break.”

The Fast By Ferracci team will be supporting Celtic Racing’s assault on the 2011 AMA Pro Racing Daytona SportBike class championship, doing all the prep and tuning of Celtic’s Ducati 848EVO for its rider, 17-year-old P.J. Jacobsen.
